Theo James Wants Nothing To Do With Facebook, Twitter Or Instagram; 'Insurgent' Star Determined To Protect 'Private Life' With Girlfriend Ruth Kearney

While everyone seemed to be hooked up in social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, "Insurgent" star Theo James feels otherwise.

The 30-year-old English actor revealed that he wants nothing to do with social media and this is to protect his private life and his girlfriend Ruth Kearney.

"I don't think I'd want to share those elements of my private life," Theo James admitted to Flaunt.

"I don't have it and I never will. Other actors I know are really good at it and they rock and roll it, but it's not for me. If I post a picture of us having a drink now and get loads of views or comments and stuff, then suddenly you're quite exposed and you're in a world of work. I just like being present.

James believed that it's important to be present physically and not to get affected with what the social media dictates.

"I think people struggle with that now, being present in a time and place. There's a lot of talk about mindfulness now and that's about the ability to be present and not constantly affected by erroneous sources around you-that stimulus through a computer or through worries. It's about being fully present."

And while Theo James and her co-star Shailene Woodley have been spending more time with each other since filming and promoting "Insurgent," it has been reported that his girlfriend Ruth Kearney was his inspiration in pulling out more emotions in the movie.

"This film gave me even more emotional levels to play with Four," Theo told San Luis Obispo Tribune. "In some ways, he's quite different from the first movie. In the first film, Four is this quiet, watchful person. You are not really sure of his intentions. Now, it's nice that Four can show some vulnerability because there wasn't a lot of room for that in the first film."
