With the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao fight coming close, preparations of both camps are reaching new levels.
Over at Pretty Boy's hub, he has definitely up the ante in his training. However, that is in the expense of a former world champion boxer assigned as his sparring partner.
Jeff Mayweather, uncle and trainer of the undefeated American fighter, revealed to media his nephew "beat the [bleep] out" of Zab Judah, a former Undisputed World Welterweight Champion, during a sparring. Fans of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao fight definitely were shocked by this news.
"He beat Judah so bad, Judah was scared to let his hands go," Jeff Mayweather said in an interview with Mlive.
According to reports, Judah is a southpaw fighter that has style of Manny Pacquiao. He was viewed as a good partner by Floyd Mayweather's camp because of his great credentials.
"Everybody was just hyped because they thought Judah was going to be something different, but Judah was worse than the other guys," Jeff Mayweather said in the same interview.
"It seemed like Floyd had something personal against him. He beat the (bleep) out of him. So then he quit, he let Judah off the hook, because Judah's got a fight coming up and he messed his eye up."
With Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao fight happening in less than two months, this is surely a welcome news for fans of Pretty Boy.
Jeff Mayweather further explained what went on in the three-round sparring match between Floyd and Judah. He added that it was a bad predicament Judah is in because he has an upcoming fight and now, he has a swelling in the eye he has to treat.
"In the second round, Judah didn't have nothing left. He's in shape. He's got a fight coming up," the uncle said.
"It may be just his mind, and all the (bleep) he's been dealing with with Manny over the years. Obviously, he's taken that in some kind of way, and I mean, he's punishing these guys."
