The finale of the Fox hip-hop musical drama "Empire" was a bomb.
A lot of things went on in the two-hour finale and for its second season, expect things to get even more intense between the members of Lyon family.
Schism is in the offing in the family. Unlikely alliances were made and emotions will definitely pour come the new season. Some of the "Empire" TV series cast made waves with their signature catchphrases, like Taraji Henson's Cookie Lyon and her "Boo Boo Kitty" phrase.
In the first season finale, one more line has been immortalized.
Terrence Howard's Lucious Lyon received a good news. He was fortunately misdiagnosed of ALS. That mean's he will live longer. However, his families except Jamal, connived against him. Someone exposed him on the murder of Bunky and police arrested him. He was jailed but before the episode closes, he sent out a warning, that war has just started. In the very last picture, the main "Empire" TV series cast uttered "Game time, b******."
Shortly after Terrence Howard dropped that line, it trended on social media sites. The reception is pretty much like the same with "Boo Boo Kitty" which will now forever be associated to "Empire" TV series cast Taraji P. Henson. Taraji's signature line is impromptu.
The story is the same for Howard's "Game time, b******."
"I can't say I'm surprised at this point. I don't know if you know this, but that was an improv by Terrence," executive producer Ilene Chaiken said of that line in an interview with the Entertainment Weekly.
"That was not the line we wrote. Terrence improv'd that. I saw it and I said, "That's it! That's the button on the season end." I just loved it. It worked on me so I'm glad it worked on the audience."
Aside from Howard and Henson, "Empire" TV series cast is lead by Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, and Bryshere Gray.
