The last thing Paris Saint Germain fans probably want is hear or see a Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer news. After all, the Swedish star is the backbone of their team. However, in the world of professional football, to see Zlatan leave Paris for another team is not impossible.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer to other teams looked like an annual affair. From time to time, the 33-year old striker transfers to another team. That somehow changed when he arrived in PSG. Ibrahimovic has been with the Ligue 1 club since 2012 and looks like it will stay that way for a couple more years. According to the player's agent Mino Raiola Zlatan is more likely to stay with Paris Saint Germain unless the club does not want him anymore.
"Theoretically, Ibrahimovic could be sold this summer - but PSG would have to actually want that. Which leads me to say that it would be virtually impossible," Raiola said of client who used to play for Barcelona and Inter Milan.
The agent also explained that one reason Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer is very unlikely is the fact that PSG needs him more more than he needs the club.
"Today he is still the most important player in PSG's project. Where's his potential replacement? Where's the new Zlatan? It's impossible to find someone like him today and PSG know that," the agent said.
"Zlatan is unique - he's the only player in the world who measures 1.96 metres, has the technique of Lionel Messi, the character of Muhammad Ali and the strength of Mike Tyson."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an elite player and every team he joined, he played a key role. This is why Raiola does not see his client transferring to another term only to heat up the bench.
"I've never forced players to do things they don't want - Zlatan will extend his deal beyond 2016 if he wants to. One thing he won't be, though, is a benchwarmer. He is the star of the team or he is gone."
