In the last episode of CW Network TV series "The Flash" it was finally revealed who Prof. Harrison Wells really is. After his secret was discovered by Cisco, Wells had no choice but to come clean. To make sure his secrets won't spill to others, he decided to kill his funny right-hand man. Wells is Eobard Thawne who in the comics is known both as Professor Zoom and Reverse Flash. He donned the yellow suit multiple times and faced-off with the Flash (Grant Gustin). Will they meet again? That is automatic. No need to wait for further "The Flash" episode guides about that part.
The most surprising part in that revelation is that he is somewhat related to an existing character. The show's Eobard Thawne is connected to Eddie Thawne (portrayed by Rick Cosnett), colleague of Barry Allen and boyfriend of Iris West. Wells and Eddie hasn't shared much scene together before. That will change in the future. According to a major "The Flash" episode guide from executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, these two are up for some 'great' scenes.
"You can take him at his word that there obviously is a family connection between the two of them. There are some great scenes coming up, between Tom and Rick [Cosnett], that starts to become a storyline," Kreisberg said in an interview with Comicbook.com shortly after the latest "The Flash" episode.
"It's cool stuff. We're not trying to purposely trick the comic book fans. Being one myself, you can get upset when it's not quite the way it was in the book. But the show has to live on its own and it has to be for everybody. It can't just be an adaptation of comic books that people have already read and know so well. Obviously, we've thought of this, from the very beginning, and it's been leading up to this."
So Eddie Thawne and Harrison Wells will finally have their moments together. How will that play out and what will they be up to? Next episode titled "Rogue Time" will air on March 24. Read the full "The Flash" episode guide here.
