Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger's relationship was brought into the spotlight once again when TMZ released some compromising photos of the latter during Spring Break.
The said photos had the 21-year-old model hugging an unknown bikini-clad female as they partied in Cabo over Spring Break. It quickly fueled speculations that Schwarzenegger was cheating on his popstar girlfriend.
Cyrus' beau was quick to assert his innocence, however. He tweeted that the woman was the girlfriend of one of his best friends and that he would "NEVER do anything against my GF."
"Girls have guy friends and guys have friends that are girls," he added.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer herself remained quiet about the issue, but she did post some cryptic messages on Instagram. She posted quotes about building self-esteem and staying close to people with positive energies.
It looks like the silence didn't convince fans that Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger's relationship was all good.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Arnold Schwarzenegger's son received several hate tweets and comments on social media. One overprotective fan even threatened his life.
"Patrick Schwarzenegger WHY ILL KILL YOU!!! DONT DO THAT AGAIN TO MILEY PLEASE," the frustrated follower posted.
Although the University of Southern California student didn't defend himself from the hate comments, his sister couldn't keep quiet about it.
"A lot of you guys spreading hate need Jesus in your lives ASAP," Katherine Schwarzenegger posted last Wednesday.
When someone pointed out that the photos were "insensitive" and compromising, the 25-year-old only answered with, "ever heard of spring break?!"
Maria Shriver's older sister previously gushed at how "adorable" the high-profile couple were.
"You just want your sibling to be happy. If they're with someone who makes them happy and in a happy healthy relationship then I'm happy," she reportedly told US Weekly about it.
Do you think Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger's relationship is in danger? Or do you agree with older sister Katherine's response that it was just "spring break?"
