"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 was quietly confirmed by ABC. Well, everything else will probably sound like they are muted with the way the two-episode season finale went on. The last episode of the hit TV drama shocked many fans. Several theories regarding the real killer of Lila were thrown out the window with that huge revelation. Annalise Keating's husband Sam (Tom Verica)is the mastermind of the murder of his student lover. However, he had someone else do the killing. This hitman's identity will surely shock who haven't seen it because the particular henchman and Sam never had much scenes together.
Frank Delfino (Chris Weber), the loyal right-hand man of main protagonist Annalise Keating (Viola Davis), was surprisingly connected to Sam who ordered him to kill Lila. This is something no one saw coming. Frank was portrayed in the show as a womanizer but not as a murderer. At the end episode, he is also a person of interested in the murder of one major character. Rebecca Sutter will not be seen in "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2. Despite that, her presence will still be felt next season as her murder is the new mystery that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
Although it has been identified who killed Lila, Weber said "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 will still feel like a labyrinth. No one will be able to predict what will happen or who's going to go out.
"It's very exciting. We found out last night after the finale, but I think the writing was on the wall even though there wasn't anything official," Weber said in an interview with E! Online.
"Our jaws would have been on the floor if we weren't back for season two. But no, I know nothing about where we're going to go. That's the beauty of it. It is wide open. There are so many places we could go."
When asked for spoilers regarding "Ho to Get Away with Murder" season 2, Weber said it could be more about the thing that Frank owe Sam that made the previous commit a murder.
"For me personally, it's what Frank owed Sam. I'm so curious and I really hope we dive deep into that. Just as an actor, I love Tom Verica. I think he's so talented and great, and it'd be really fun to go deep with him. I'm looking forward to that."
"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 will reportedly air this fall.
