Sam Smith's weight loss has been very noticeable with the crooner's various photos on Instagram.
The change was especially pronounced when the Grammy winner posted a photo of himself in the gym last Wednesday. He also revealed the reason for his new image two days ago, publicly thanking certified nutritional therapist Amelia Freer for "making me feel so happy inside and out."
"Three weeks ago I met a woman who has completely changed my life," the 22-year-old singer captioned the shot of himself holding out Freer's book, "Eat. Nourish. Glow." "Amelia Freer has helped me lose over a stone in 2 weeks and has completely transformed my relationship with food."
According to US Weekly, the balladeer lost an amazing 14 pounds in 14 days thanks to Prince Charles' former assistant.
"Everyone go check out her incredible book, and start to live healthy. It's not even about weight loss it's about feeling happy in yourself. Love you Amelia & thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out @ameliafreer #eatnourishglow."
However, was Sam Smith's weight loss due to negative comments about his weight?
Last January, the singer became the target of a fat shaming rant by Howard Stern.
"You know what I like about the guy? He's an ugly motherf-. He's fat. Is he gay? He looks gay to me, not that anybody looks gay, but he does seem effeminate," the radio host suddenly said while counting down top songs.
"He's fat and he's gay and little girls worship him," he continued to insult the "Stay With Me Singer" as he ironically continued to say that he loved the "male Adele" and that he wanted him to guest on the show.
The "Latch" singer, on the other hand, handled the issue quite well.
"Can't believe what I've just read," he posted on Twitter after the issue blew up. "Ignore."
