Although Prof. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) has donned the yellow costume multiple times, the argument of who the real Reverse Flash is remains a mystery.
Not everyone is convinced that the mysterious mentor and colleaegue of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is indeed the yellow light that killed the main protagonist's mom.
In a new "The Flash" episode guide from Gustin, it seems fans will finally learn the truth about the "Man in the Yellow Suit." Gustin told in an interview with Comic Book Resources they have prepared a twist that will surely surprise fans.
"Yes. There's a twist with Harrison Wells and the Reverse-Flash storyline that no journalist has guessed -- I've never seen it online. It's going to I think really surprise everyone. And it's an original twist to the character that doesn't mess up the mythology," Gustin said when CBR asked for teasers regarding huge moment in the next "The Flash" episodes.
Earlier in the interview, Gustin also shared another "The Flash" episode guide about the new tone of the show in the remaining weeks of the show.
As seen in the Paleyfest trailer, some characters will make bold decisions. One of which is Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) who is also being picked as the Reverse Flash from the future. In the clip, Thawne was seen shooting two cops dead.
"I don't want to say it gets darker because that's misleading, I think. I keep saying Barry has to get better at lying once he discovers more of the truth about Wells," Gustin said of the second half of "The Flash."
"Because he's got to face this brilliant person he's always looked up to, and he's got to not reveal that he knows the truth when he's with him. So that changes things -- that's a big dynamic change for Barry, obviously."

"Mark Mardon aka The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) appears in Central City intent on avenging his brother Clyde's death, and sets his sights on Joe (Jesse L. Martin), who shot Clyde. When Mardon attacks Joe and Barry (Grant Gustin), Barry is able to super-speed them to safety but Mardon gets away. Barry warns Joe not to go after a meta-human alone but Joe doesn't listen and ends up in grave danger. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) looks into the night the team captured the Reverse Flash and realizes something doesn't add up and begins to wonder whether Joe was right about Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Barry and Linda (guest star Malese Jow) end up on an awkward double date with Eddie (Rick Cosnett) and Iris (Candice Patton)."
