Rihanna has gotten herself yet another tattoo and this time, it's a huge one of the "Egyptian goddess Isis" which is strategically position under her breasts. The Grammy-award winning singer tweeted the photo and said she did it as a tribute to her grandmother, who she was very close to, after she passed away earlier this year.
The 24-year-old posted the photo on her Twitter account Sunday night with the following tweet; "Goddess Isis-Complete Woman- Model for future generations- # GRANGRANDDOLLY- always in and on my heart.
Rihanna's grandmother was Clara "Dolly" Braithwaite who passed away in July after a battle with cancer. The body-spanning image of the ancient Egyptian goddess of rebirth, is complete with a throne-like headdress and spread wings. Isis is reportedly one of the most-common images of empowered femininity.
Rihanna, who took home the MTV Video Music Award for her song "We Found Love", currently has close to 20 tattoos on her body including a music note on her ankle, a Pisces sign behind her right ear, a gun tattoo on her rib cage, and the words "Thug Life" across her fingers.
The Barbados native performed at the Paralympics Closing Night Ceremony in London on Sunday and sang alongside Jay-Z and Coldplay.
