Both Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL were unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona following its official launch in various regions worldwide.
Microsoft Lumia 640 XL was recently put for pre-order in Germany, subsequently the Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL have been listed on Microsoft UK store.
The Lumia 640 is listed at £170, while the Lumia 640 XL is priced at £219. Both windows phone will be made available from April 28 onward, GSM Arena reported.
Specs wise, the Lumia 640 offers a 5.0inch HD LCD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and available in black or orange colour options. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC each core clocked at 1.2 GHz coupled with 1 GB RAM.
The Lumia 640 has an 8 GB of expandable storage that can be expandale up to 128GB; sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 1MP front snapper; DLNA support, and 2,500 mAh battery.(via GSM Arena)
As for the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL it is listed in black, cyan, orange and white colour, it has a 5.7in HD LCD screen with ClearBlack technology and the same Snapdragon SoC processor and storage as the Lumia 640.
The Lumia 640 XL packs a 13MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss f/2.0 optics, and a 5MP front camera for selfies and a larger battery capacity of 3,000 mAh.

IB Times adds that some third-party online stores will be offering the Lumia 640 XL too and might offer the phone at significantly lower price.
