"Avengers" cast Jeremy Renner has just been confirmed to join Chris Evans in "Captain America: Civil War" according to both Mirror and Slash Film.
While there has been no official announcement about Renner's Hakweye joining the cast, previous interviews already hinted the happening.
In his earlier interview with MTV the 44-year-old actor sort of confirmed his involvement with the third sequel of "Captain America."
"I'm happy to be the ensemble," Renner said when asked if a standalone film featuring his character Hawkeye is possible. "I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means."
Adding, "I think he's a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universes a little bit, especially like 'Cap 3.'"
As if his statement was not enought to fuel rumors that he's appearing in "Captain America: Civil War" the "Avengers" cast has again mentioned his involvement during an interview with Collider.
"There are rumblings of 'Captain America 3.' I don't know what's going to happen there. I've got to find the time, man (laughs). I'm trying to stay home and I can't," he answered when asked about how he finds time in his busy schedule.
Joe Russo on the other hand, insisted on not revealing any details about "Avengers" cast Jeremy Renner's possible casting in the movie in an interview with Crave Online.
"We can't. That's part of our cone of silence. My head would explode. You saw Scanners, right?" Joe Russo answered when asked to clarify the rumors involving Renner and "Captain America 3."
"Yeah, that's loosely based on Marvel's policy. Their security team is now... My head will blow up. I can't tell you," he reiterated.
Renner, 44, is has wrapped up filming "Mission Impossible 5" with Tom Cruise, he has also confirmed that he'll reprise his role as Aaron Cross and work with Matt Damon in the "Bourne" franchise.
There have been rumors claiming that he'll probably be returning in the sequel of "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters."
"Avengers" cast Jeremy Renner will be joining his co-stars Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Samuel L. Jackson in "Captain America: Civil War" movie.
