"Banshee" season 4 renewal was confirmed even before the Cinemax series ends.
Still, the show didn't sit on its laurels and gave the audience an intense and unforgettable finale.
Creative, never before seen stunts and out of this world fight scenes are the words you can use to describe "Banshee" season 3 ender last Friday.
The highest rated Cinemax series wrapped up its successful third season through explosions, swords, dramas, and of course, that major cliffhanger. The fans who have seen the finale started speculating that the show will probably take a major shift next season based on the major characters' set up.
This new season may have seen some fan favorites getting killed off but it also saw the arrival of a new compelling character.
Tom Pelphrey's Bunker, the former Nazi guy who took a job as a deputy of Banshee to be able to redeem himself, is making a good case for himself. It has been confirmed that Pelphrey is included in "Banshee" season 4.
In the season 3 finale, Pelphrey was not involved in much action but he still put out one of the strongest performances in the show, or in the whole television. Bunker has a history of violence but during the confrontation with Brock (Matt Servito) he just broke down and cried because of the ghosts of his past.
Fans know that Bunker is trying to change and he has Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) to thank for that. However, during third season finale, it seems Hood is done being the sheriff and will go full-time criminal. This means that the man Bunker look up to could be on the wrong side of the law. With that, will there be a possibility for the two to clash?
In an exclusive interview with Film Addict's Dan Buffa, Pelphrey said Hood vs Bunker sounds epic. However, he thinks a fight with the man he respects will be a long way for Bunker.
"Hahaha!! Now that would be a brawl. I have to say though I think it would take ALOT for Bunker to ever go after Hood," Pelphrey said.
"He gave the guy a chance when no one else would. He didn't dismiss Bunker and he gave him a chance to prove himself and earn his trust. I think for someone like Bunker that goes a long way."
Aside from Pelphrey and Starr, other actors more likely to appear next season are Hoon Lee, Ivana Milicevic, Ulrich Thomsen, Frankie Faison and Lili Simmons.
"Banshee" season 4 premiere is yet to be revealed and reports have it the new season will only be composed of eight episode instead of the usual ten.
