The CW's newest supernatural series will be featuring the undead of a different kind from their usual vampires and werewolves.
This time, zombies will be invading your television as the "iZombie" is set to premiere this March 17.
The zombies in the upcoming series don't look as glamorous as the vampires in "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" nor as gory as the monsters in "Supernatural."
Liv Moore (Rose McIver) may be undead but she won't be nibbling on living people any time soon - unless she forgets to eat her daily sustenance of brain from the morgue where she works.
She doesn't devour them like a hungry monster. She mixes them with ramen and some hot sauce to make them tastier
Assuming that McIver can't gobble up actual brains while shooting, the 26-year-old actress shared what those little pink blobs are and how they really taste like.
"It's been trial and error," she admitted to IGN, during an interview for the "iZombie" premiere.
"We really got it down to something a lot better than it was. It's agar agar, a coconut kind of gelatin."
Of course mixing that with hot sauce wouldn't be a very good idea so the crew reportedly used a "V8, tomato juice kind of stuff, vegetable juice."
Even then, the concoction was still "a combination you're never going to love."
"It's definitely not unbearable and I have spit buckets on hand," she revealed. "People are very patient with me."
Her character, Liv, on the other hand, likes to "spice up" her staple food.
"She doesn't eat them all the same way. She might blend them or have them in a taco. We get to kind of see how she's still trying to have a varied and interesting diet despite the quite strange requirement," she shared.
Viewers will see how well the Australian actress can convince people that she loves those soft pink cubes during the "iZombie" premiere this Tuesday.
