‘Limitless’ TV Show Has Found Its Lead Star! How Connected Is Jake McDorman To The Original Movie’s Star Bradley Cooper?

| By

CBS has finally found its lead star for the "Limitless" TV show, the network is planning to remake from the 2011 film and it looks like the headliner has a deeper connection to original star Bradley Cooper.

According to Deadline, Jake McDorman will take over the TV version as FBI agent Brian Sinclair.

The 28-year-old actor actually appeared alongside the Academy Award nominee in "American Sniper" as Biggles.

Will he be able to ask for tips on how to bring his character to life from the talented actor who preceded him?

Cooper's 2011 version was a broke writer, Eddie Morra, who suddenly rose to the top thanks to the mysterious drug. However, the damaging effects of NZT put his life in danger and he's forced to look for a way to save himself from death.

In the "Limitless" TV show, McDorman will be playing an FBI agent, Den Of Geek reported.

According to Deadline, in the pilot, Sinclair (McDorman) will be "coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI."

However, knowing that NZT has devastating side-effects, it would be interesting to see how this version would handle the situation. Sinclair might be able to handle it better than Cooper's Eddie Morra seeing as he's a trained agent.

Based on the current reports, the "Limitless" TV show would be set up as an FBI procedural with a touch of science fiction. How it will be connected (if it is connected at all) to the original film is still a mystery right now.

McDorman previously appeared in NBC's short-lived romantic comedy series "Manhattan Love Story," "Greek" as well as "The Newsroom." He also appeared in "Die Hard 4.0."

Bradley Cooper himself will executive produce the pilot written by Craig Sweeny with Marc Webb as director.
