Fox TV show "Last Man on Earth" took a huge step in its last episode titled "Raisin Balls and Wedding Bells."
Here's what happened in the show before that huge twist in the last minute.
The last man on earth Phil Miller (Will Forte) and the last woman on earth Carol Pilbasian (Kristen Schaal) decided to get married so they can repopulate.
At first, Phil was skeptic about the idea but as as soon as they exchanged vows, he thought he was already having fun. Then while driving back home, they were almost run over by a car. What does this mean? There's another human besides them.
January Jones has joined the "Last Man on Earth" TV show cast as Melissa, someone who is exactly the opposite of Schaal's Carol. This is the biggest development in the show so far because one, there are only two cast and characters, Melissa's arrival could rock the marriage of Phil and Carrol.
So what is there to expect from the new "Last Man on Earth" TV show cast? Talking to the Entertainment Weekly shortly after her debut in the Fox comedy series, Jones said Melissa will basically be like Carol, craving for someone to talk to.
"She's craving humans, as they all are," she explained. "She's craving interaction. She's so relieved there are other people," Jones said adding her character will easily get along with Carol while Phil will be concern for her.
"She likes Carol right away and becomes friends with her pretty fast and trusts her. She's more wary of Phil because he does some oddball things, obviously. She thinks they're very peculiar people, but she's just so happy to see people that she doesn't care. They're not unsafe! She's just a cool chick. She's witty and dry, but she's sweet and comes from a good family."
The new "Last Man on Earth" TV show cast also said "there are lots of different twists and turns that I can't talk about yet."
January Jones teased there will be some kind of "love triangle" between Melissa, Carol, and Phil. However, it may not be the kind you'll expect.
"Yeah. I don't know if it's a love triangle. It's maybe a one-sided love triangle. [Laughs] I can't say anything about that."
"Last Man on Earth" TV show will return on March 15 for the fourth episode titled "Sweet Melissa."
