San Francisco is in grave danger in the new "San Andreas" trailer featuring Dwayne Johnson!
It's a battle between Johnson and nature in the new video as a massive earthquake hit the City by the Bay. It's such a huge quake, in fact, that Paul Giamatti insists that it will literally crack the earth open and will also affect the East Coast.
"People need to know that the shaking is not over," he frantically tells awoman.
Directed by "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" helmer Brad Peyton, Johnson will star as a helicopter rescue pilot who flies to the disaster-stricken city to look for and rescue his only daughter.
His ultimate mission will seemingly lead him to become what Entertainment Weekly calls the "emergency superman."
On the way to look for his daughter, he meets a woman (Carla Gugino) whom he saves from a collapsing building. He manages to find his daughter but encounters various problems along the way.
He will have to deal with roads cracking open, buildings collapsing, the Hollywood sign slowly tumbling, and a massive tsunami slowly approaching the Golden Gate Bridge.
Towards the end of the "San Andreas" trailer, Dwayne Johnson and Carla Gugino ride a speedboat out of the city only to be meet by a huge tsunami, most likely as a result of the massive earthquake that just hit the area. Will they be able to ride over treacherous waters towards safety?
According to Deadline, Johnson and Gugino will be joined by Art Parkinson, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd, Hugo Johnstone-Burt, Archie Panjabi and Paul Giamatti in this new disaster movie.
Warner Brothers will premiere the film on May 29 in 2D and 3D.
