According to E! Online, Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, checked himself into rehab after an intervention by his mother, Michelle, and Dr. Phil last week.
His decision to go to rehab followed a heartfelt tweet he posted for Whitney Houston's daughter's birthday last Wednesday.
"Happy birthday baby I wish I was there with you to hold you and be by your side," he posted on Twitter.
The intervention reportedly happened after his mother grew scared for her son's mental well-being. Gordon posted suicidal tweets on social media after he was banned by Brown's family from visiting the still unconscious girl.
"I'm so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to strong," he told his almost 50,000 followers on Twitter.
Support came flooding in from fans of Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend, but his mother decided that he needed professional help for all the stress he's been under since his girlfriend was brought to the hospital.
"As we sit here right now, my son's life hangs in the balance," his mother told Dr. Phil during an interview. She also added that her son "won't let go of the guilt."
"When Whitney was found, he administered CPR to her and called me as he was standing in front of her saying, 'Mom, why couldn't I do it? I couldn't get air into her lungs,'" she revealed.
According to TMZ, Gordon talked about committing suicide should Brown not wake up from her coma during the interview with Dr. Phil in Atlanta.
On the other hand, USA Today reported that Gordon walked out of the interview after being told that he should "go straight to rehab."
"I miss Krissi and Whitney so much! I want them back," he sobbed. "I hate Bobby Brown!"
