One major “Gotham” TV series cast might not be seen next season.
At least if you will believe her words. Jada Pinkett Smith's Fish Mooney is still alive in the Fox TV series. She is far away from the rowdy city and based on her recent shenanigans, it is more likely she will return in grand fashion. However, according to Smith herself, she is not coming back.
"I don't think so," the “Gotham” TV series cast said when asked during an interview at ABC's LIVE with Kelly and Michael if her character will return for the second season.
"I signed for a year and the year's up. BUT! There are some great things coming ahead on 'Gotham,' believe you me."
In an interview with People a few weeks ago, Smith discussed her character's gruesome act. In the episode titled “Red Hood,” Mooney took her eye out using a s spoon to prevent it from being used in organ trade and then smashed it with her own feet. The “Gotham” TV series cast said that was just Mooney's way of saying that she is still in control. Smith even went on to say that Mooney is trying hard to return to her original city.
“Fish really does a great job at making everyone believe that she has it all together even if she's terrified," she said. "Her motto is, 'Never let 'em see you sweat. Never.' I think what she's trying to do. I think she's figured out a way within the prison to have a certain amount of control, which is one of the reasons why she takes her eye out.”
Meanwhile, in another interview, Jada Pinkett Smith said, they are now done with the finale and told fans to watch out for her character and what she might 'have on sleeve.'
“We're done. I did my year and I had a good time,” the actress said in a video you can see at the Extra site, adding, "You've got to wait and see what happens. You never know what Fish might have up her sleeve."
"I've always been a comic book fan so it was definitely a dream to be able to participate in an origin story of Batman with an original character," she added. "Who would of thought in a million years that I would have the opportunity to do that?"
