"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 will arrive this fall picking up shortly from the first season finale.
As the first season concludes, the show only raised more questions rather than answer to the mysteries. The show finally solved one of its oldest mystery during the finale, who killed Lila?
(Spoilers ahead)
The students, particularly Rebecca (Katie Findlay) are right that Sam, Lila's professor and lover and Annalise Keating's husband, is behind the murder. However, he did not do it with his own hands. He was only the mastermind.
Sam ordered to have Lila killed and his confidante was Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber), the man who has always been on the side of Annalise (Viola Davis).
Probably only few of the fans guessed that Frank is involved in the killing of Sam's student lover. Before performing the murder, Sam told him that he owes the professor. What could it be? That is just one of many questions the "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 will answer.
During the last minutes of the last episode, another character was killed and she is not any other character. Rebecca will no longer be in the "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 as she was seen lifeless in a cabinet in front of Frank and Annalise. Frank is doing ridiculous things for the Keating couple but what could he get from it? One angle fans are looking at is he might be in love with the strong-willed law professor.
For Viola Davis, that is an exciting plot. However, she is not sure whether writers have it in mind for "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2.
"I love that idea, I never thought of that! That is very exciting," Davis said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
"When you explore the kind of unusual relationship - like with Bonnie and Annalise - those create the best OMG moments, especially when you think that a relationship may be going in another direction. It's a whole other mystery that's exposed that adds another layer to the character. It's also something I have never seen on network TV."
"Those types of relationships can only take place in Shondaland but I would love for that to be the case. I don't know what they are going to explore with the history of Rebecca and Lila in terms of Sam and these relationships with Lila. But Frank and Annalise? I'll go for it!"
