Is Another Original Character Coming Back In 'Heroes Reborn' Cast? Greg Gunberg ‘Absolutely’ Wants To Reprise Telepath Role [Video]

| By

The "Heroes Reborn" cast as well as the rest of the details about the reboot has been kept under lock and key by show creator Tim Kring and NBC.

What fans know for sure is that Jack Coleman will be reprising his role as Noah Bennett or Horn-Rimmed Glasses (HRG). Zachary Levi will also be signing on with his character's possible powers (if he has any) still undisclosed.

Unfortunately, Milo Ventimiglia, who played fan favorite Peter Petrelli will not be coming back. Zachary Quinto (Sylar), Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet) and Ali Larter (Nikki Sanders) have all confirmed that they will not be returning to the 13-epsiode reboot of the cult classic.

However, there is one actor who wants to join the production once again.

Greg Gunberg, who brought to life telepath Matt Parkman from the Los Angeles Police Department, was reportedly contacted by Kring himself for the role.

"I got a call from the creator of the show, asking if I would participate and I said absolutely," the 48-year-old actor recently told Entertainment Tonight. "We will see! I will know very soon!"

Despite the uncertainty of his role in the show, Gunberg admitted that he is still very excited to "to see what is going to happen."

Will Greg Gunberg become a fixed part of the "Heroes Reborn" cast? We will have to wait and see!

The original beloved cast may not have signed on for recurring roles but NBC boss Bob Greenwalt promised that "several of the old cast [will be] popping in to episodes."

No exact date has been scheduled for the series yet but NBC already released a trailer at the recent Super Bowl last February. An extended version of the teaser was also released online later on.

Watch the trailer here and tell us what you think of the current possible line up of the "Heroes Reborn" cast.
