Serena Williams, Roger Federer Matches Today at U.S. Open: Where to Watch Live Online

| By

Serena Williams, Roger Federer and Andy Murray are the athletes to look out for at the U.S. Open on Monday, Labor day, as two former rivals go head to head.

At 1 p.m. EST, Serena Williams it have be an earlier than usual start at the U.S. Open but she'll take to Ashe for the second match of the day with another quarterfinal spot up for grabs. Thus far Serena hasn't been challenged very much at all but the same can't be said of Hlavackova. The Czech who checks in at 82nd in the world rankings has gone through two seeded players to get this far, including her upset of Maria Kirilenko in the third round.

It's imperative for Hlavackova to get off to a strong start because Serena has gotten stronger as each match has progressed.

Roger Federer will play 23rd-seeded American Mardy Fish during the day session in Arthur Ashe Stadium before Murray, the Olympic champion, takes on big-hitting Canadian Milos Raonic during the prime-time night session.

Historically, Fish hasn't given Federer many problems (well, nobody not named Nadal has been a constant challenge for Federer). They have met eight times before and Fish has won only one of those (2008 at Indian Wells) so it's not like Fish has found a secret recipe. But if he wants a ray of hope it's that Federer is unbeatable -- literally, perfect in his career -- at night in New York, but he can lose during the day at the U.S. Open. The two men will play at 3 p.m. EST.

The tournament is on CBS and the CBS Sports Network during this three-day weekend. You will also be able to watch the matches live right here on CBSSports.com from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Another reminder: Start times are not precise.
