Fans enthralled by the gory world of the "American Horror Story," have more better reason to catch up on NBC's "Hannibal."
There is more reason to feel excited about the "Hannibal" season 3 premiere.
The Entertainment Weekly reported that Zachary Quinto, who appeared in both "American Horror Story" seasons "Murder House" and "Asylum," has landed a guest role in the horror drama series.
For many fans, this news has made waiting for the delayed "Hannibal" season 3 premiere both more exciting and painful.
"Zachary Quinto has landed a guest-starring role on Hannibal, EW has learned exclusively," the website wrote.
"Quinto, who is currently starring on NBC's 'The Slap,' will appear in at least one episode of the third season as a patient of Bedelia's (Gillian Anderson). Anyone else hoping his character will be as crazy as his 'American Horror Story' role Bloody Face?"
Quinto's appearance in "Hannibal" season 3 will also reunite him with show creator Bryan Fuller whom he worked with in "Heroes."
Aside from AHS franchise and "Heroes," the 37-year old actor is also known for his role as Spock in the eleventh installment of the "Star Trek" film franchise.
He will join a slew of actors added into the show as it readies to explore the world of "Hannibal" (the novel and film) and the "Red Dragon. Among the newcomers in the critically acclaimed show are Richard Armitage as "Red Dragon" villain Francis Dolarhyde; Nina Arianda as Molly Graham, wife of Will Graham (Hugh Dancy); Rutina Wesley as Dolarhyde's love interest Reba McClane; and Glenn Fleshler as Dr. Cordell Doemling, the personal assistant of Mason Verger.
According to reports, "Hannibal" season 3 premiere will see Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) in Italy together with Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) where they pose as couple.
"Hannibal" season 3 premiere is set to air this summer.
