The highly anticipated "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" movie is finally happening, "Fast & Furious 7" star Vin Diesel revealed.

The 47-year-old action star admitted that he'll be reprising his role in the adrenaline junkie spy movie.

"I am going to do the next 'xXx' which will be filming in part in the Philippines, which I'm very, very, very excited about," Diesel said in an interview with Collider.

While promoting the highly successful intergalactic superhero film, "Guardians of the Galaxy," Diesel ended up talking about his future films.

He shared that following "The Last Witch Hunter" movie with Michael Caine and "Game of Thrones" star Rose Leslie, he'll be doing "Kojac" and then "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

While he did not reveal as to when will he start filming the third installment of the franchise, it has been speculated that "xXx" will not move forward until a couple of years, since "Kojak" is still in its early stages of development.

"Fast & Furious 7" star Vin Diesel starred in the first "xXx" movie back in 2002, however, the sequel titled "xXx: State of the Union" had Ice Cube as replacement to Diesel.

A DVD short film titled, "The Final Chapter: The Death of Xander Cage," was released as an extra with the first movie, explaining the death of Diesel's character.

In 2008, "Fast & Furious 7" star Vin Diesel surprised fans when he announced that he's considering coming back to the franchise.

Earlier in 2014, he revealed that a plot is being written for "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."
