A "fish out of water scenario" for "Expendables 4" plot?
Director Patrick Hughes once told Crave Online that he already pitched in his idea for the story of the upcoming sequel.
"Seriously, if you're going to do a number four, break outside the box," he explained referring to his conversation with Sylvester Stallone. "Let's do something really different."
Adding, "I was like, 'You need to add a level of sci-fi.' So it's an action sci-fi. The slant of the sci-fi is something to do with a time machine, where they go through some void, right? And The Expendables land on the beach on D-Day, and it's them sweeping the Nazis out of France!"
While Hughes statement left fans of the highly anticipated movie at the edge of their seats, Sly in a separate interview with Crave Online, admitted that he'd already thought of the plot of the sequel.
"I have actually entertained the idea of putting the group into such an unnatural environment that it, in an of itself, creates extra suspense and tension: the 'fish out of water scenario," the 68-year-old veteran actor explained. "That environment might not be time travel, but nearly just as jarring."
He also mentioned that his plan is to instill to the fans that the "Expendables" is all about "brotherhood," where it stands on its belief "that no man stands alone in this world."
He did not however reveal any official cast members to be included in "Expendables 4," but online website called Expendables Premiere made a rather surprising announcement.
"Hulk Hogan is expected to visit Bulgaria for filming action movie " The Expendables 4," the entertainment site claimed.
Expendables Premiere also mentioned that the WWE legend once took to Twitter to announce that he's in the fourth installment of Sly's action franchise.
"Brother, they already had the actors. Relax, I'm in the fourth part," he allegedly tweeted to a fan who asked him why he's not in the third sequel.
Another wrestling legend on the other hand, has expressed his willingness to join the cast of "Expendables 4" during his AMA on Reddit .
"I don't want to be on their team and be buddies with them," he told a fan who asked him if he's interested in an "Expendables" film. "F**k that noise. I want to hunt every single one of them down and tell them to 'send your soul to heaven cause your ass is mine.'"
