"The Wolf of Wall Street" saw Leonardo DiCaprio in one of his most captivating performances.
His portrayal of Jordan Belfort, the infamous Wall Street "rockstar," garnered great reviews all over the media. For his fans, a new Leonardo DiCaprio movie could be coming. A movie that will bring out the best from the 40-year-old actor.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, DiCaprio could star in a movie inspired by true events. This is about a murder suspect with personality disorder. This planned Leonardo DiCaprio new movie is something the actor has been coveting, the report said.
"Leonardo DiCaprio is getting closer to playing a role he's eyed for nearly 20 years - that of Billy Milligan, who was the first person to successfully use multiple personality disorder as a defense in a court of law," THR wrote.
"DiCaprio's Appian Way has come aboard to produce The Crowded Room with New Regency, while Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg have been hired to write the adapted script. Smilovic's credits include Lucky Number Slevin and Todd Phillips' upcoming Arms and the Dudes at Warner Bros."
Aside from the multiple personality disorder-stricken character, another new Leonard DiCaprio movie, people can set their eyes on is about the origin story of folk hero Robin Hood.
In an exclusive report by the Tracking Board, it is revealed that DiCaprio is now working with Joby Harold for the new project with a working title "Robin Hood: Origins."
"Plot details are being kept tightly under lock and key, but the film is said to tell an original origin story of the classic heroic outlaw Robin Hood," Tracking Board wrote. "Harold's Safehouse Pictures and DiCaprio's Appian Way are attached to produce the project,"
"I'm hearing that the spec is quickly making its way up the ladder at both Sony and Warner Bros., which comes as no surprise given that Safehouse Pictures has a two-year overall deal with Columbia Pictures and Appian Way is tied with Warner."
After "The Wolf of Wall Street" in 2013, DiCaprio hasn't made much movies wherein he is in a starring role. He is tied with "Virunga" but only as an executive producer. This year, he has "The Revenant" where he will play Hugh Glass.
