Is Kelly Clarkson a weed legalization advocate?
The first ever "American Idol" winner shared her thoughts on the issue during an interview with US Weekly.
"I cannot understand the fact that controlled narcotic substances and alcohol are legal and weed isn't," the 32-year-old country superstar shared.
"How many people do you know who have died from weed?" she added. "My point exactly."
The mother-of-one shared other unknown details about herself as well. She confessed that she is obsessed with Q-tips and ear candling. She also prefers to go to the mountain for vacation instead of lounging on the beach.
Kelly Clarkson wanting to legalize weed isn't the only surprising tidbit about the singer either. Despite getting famous from the Fox reality show, she secretly wants to audition for "The Voice."
She said she wants to do it just "to see if I can get all four chairs to turn around."
Another surprising fact about the Grammy Award winner is that she's very much adept at handling a gun.
"I have a concealed handgun license," she revealed before admitting that she loves eating all kinds of vegetables except for Brussels sprouts.
The country crooner also shared how she came up with her daughter's name with her husband Brandon Blackstock to People, admitting that "it really wasn't creative."
"We were going back and forth on what to name her," she spoke about naming her daughter River Rose. "And I like androgynous names."
Apparently, the couple lived near a river and just randomly thought about it one day while they were on their balcony.
She shared that they "both looked at each other and were like, 'What about River? That's kind of cool.' "
What tiny detail did you find most surprising - Kelly Clarkson wanting weed to be legalized, her gun license or her daughter's name-giving process?
Her new album, "Piece By Piece," will be out on March 3.
