If you are disappointed with 20th Century Fox produced "Dragonball Evolution," maybe you will feel better with a new "Dragon Ball Z" live action web series.
On Feb. 24, Robot Underdog released the pilot episode of their ambitious project about the popular Japanese anime. Robot Underdog is a small company of anime, sci-fi and superhero fans.
The "Dragon Ball Z" live action web series is based on "The History of Trunks" featuring Gohan (Anton Bex) and young Trunks (Jack Wald) who were forced to take on Android 18 (Amy Johnston) and Android 17 (Tyler Hackett) after Goku and Vegeta died.

"In Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope, Gohan and Trunks fight against the unstoppable Androids #17 and #18 and try to save as many human lives as possible. The young Trunks must grow up quickly and learn from his mentor, Gohan; but with battles to fight on both the outside and inside, how long can they endure, and where will they find a light of hope? In an interview, Robot Underdog said this "Dragon Ball Z" live action will stay true to the material, something that the Hollywood version failed on.
"Our goal is to bring the Dragon Ball world to life in a way that's never been done before, while staying true to the characters and story," Robot Underdog explains. "We want to use this episode as leverage to make more episodes for this web series and other projects."
Right now, this web series has already attracted almost one million views on YouTube. "Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope" pilot episode has received great reviews. However, Robot Underdog isn't sure yet if a follow up episode will be made. Thus, they are asking for donations from fans through https://www.robotunderdog.com/donate/.
