‘It’ Movie Remake Will Reportedly Start Production In Summer! Stephen King’s Hit Horror Movie Adaptation Will Be Released In Two-Part Episode

Stephen King's "It" movie remake is getting closer to becoming a reality.

According to the film's producer, Dan Lin, the adaptation to the hit horror novel is most likely to start production in summer this year.

"The idea is to start official prep in March for a summer shoot [in 2015]," Lin said in an interview with Vulture.

And while he admitted that the development took some time to move forward, he promised that the "It" movie remake is going to make fans "really excited" with the director Cary Fukunaga on board to helm the upcoming project.

"Cary ikes to develop things for a while, and we've been with this for about three or four years, so we're super excited that he stayed with it. You guys are gonna be really excited," Lin explained.

In addition, he revealed that Stephen King's "It" will be released in a two-part episode to show the viewers a much deeper story behind the novel's characters.

"The book is so epic that we couldn't tell it all in one movie and service the characters with enough depth," he revealed.

Vulture further explained that the first part of "It" movie remake would be "a coming-of-age story," while the second part will be told in the present time where the original cast are forced to face Pennywise the Dancing Clown again.

To assure fans that the project is pushing through, Lin mentioned that the novel's author, Stephen King, has given his blessings to the team.

"The most important thing is that Stephen King gave us his blessing," Lin said.

"We didn't want to make this unless he felt it was the right way to go, and when we sent him the script, the response that Cary got back was, 'Go with God, please! This is the version the studio should make.' So that was really gratifying."

And since, "It" movie remake is still in its early stages of development, no confirmed cast has yet to be announced. However, it has been said that the casting team is already looking for an actor who'll replace Tim Curry as the iconic monster clown, Pennywise.

While, "Sin Nombre" director Cary Fukunaga will be helming the film, he is also set to co-write the script with Chase Palmer.

Dan Lin on the other hand, will be joined by Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Production.
