‘iZombie’ Premiere Date Set For March 17! Is Liv Moore Going To Be The New, Undead Version Of ‘Veronica Mars?’

| By

The CW finally pinned down the "iZombie" premiere date for March 17! Are you ready to meet who, according to Complex magazine, could become TV's hottest zombie?

The cult-classic series written by Chris Roberson and Mike Allred will be brought to life by the brains behind the teen noir show "Veronica Mars," Rob Thomas.

How similar will Live Moore (Rose McIver) be to the teenage detective Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell)?

To start off, both shows star blonde young women with a penchant for solving crimes. They also carry burdens that turn them into outcasts - Veronica from the people in her high school and Liv from her family, friends and boyfriend.

However, the similarity ends there.

Liv Moore, unlike Veronica, is already dead.

While Veronica's hang-ups come from the injustice done to her family and to herself, Liv's case is more of a literal life or death situation.

She has to eat some brains in order to keep herself as human-like as long as possible. Everytime she eats, however, she sees memories, dreams and glimpses into the person's mind.

This is what drives her into helping detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) in solving crimes and helping dead people (that she ate the brains of) get the justice they deserve.

Her boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli), will also be helping her adjust as a zombie as well as look for Blaine (David Anders), the guy who turned her this way.

"iZombie" is the latest project in the series of DC Comics adaptations for TV. The CW recently added another season for "The Flash."

Catch the new series on the CW on March 17 at 9PM.
