Anna Kendrick and Jack Black joined the night's host on stage for the opening musical number. Lady Gaga shut all her haters up with a powerful performance of the "Sound Of Music" repertoire. Meanwhile, original songs for "The Lego Movie" and "Selma" came alive on stage as well.
Aside from the amazing performances at the 87th Academy Awards last Sunday, several winners gave some of this year's most powerful speeches.
Patricia Arquette called for equal wages for women in Hollywood and the rest of the US. "The Imitation Game" writer Graham Moore challenged young people to embrace being "different" as well as pass along the message to the next generation.
Harris' parody of Michael Keaton's "Birdman" underwear scene also drew out laughs, as well as John Travolta and Idina Menzel's reunion to rectify the former's mistake last year.
