With AMC giving the green light for a "Halt And Catch Fire" season 2, fans have become excited to find out what will happen to Joe (Lee Pace) and Cameron (Mackenzie Davis) love story?
According to Fashion and Style, both of them may be getting new love interests for the new season.
The AMC show will be introducing two new characters and they seem to be specifically connected to Joe and Cameron.
Variety reported that Aleksa Palladino from "Boardwalk Empire" will play Sara Wheeler who is described as a "well-traveled and highly educated freelance journalist" who came from a wealthy family. She is also "self-reliant and responsible."
Despite her scepticism for relationships, she will be sharing a "real, deep connection" with Joe whom she met in college.
On the other hand, Mark O'Brien from CBS' "The Republic Of Doyle" will also be joining "Halt And Catch Fire" season 2.
He will reportedly join the show as Tom Rendon, an "IT department head at a law firm who is an early adapter of Cameron's (Mackenzie Davis) computer startup company, Mutiny."
He and Cameron will become some sort of rivals, having the same interests and "brilliance" for gaming and hacking.
Palladino reportedly signed on to become a series regular while O'Brien will be a recurring character this season.
Fans can also expect a time jump for "Halt And Catch Fire" season 2. It will reportedly pick up a year after the happenings in season one.
"Those time jumps will be a little bit less befuddling...we're certainly looking at pacing for season two," showrunner Jonathan Lisco reportedly assured fans earlier this year, according to Variety.
He also promised to make the pacing "even more effectively this year" despite the time jump.
"I think our characters would find this moment in time absolutely thrilling. The amount of human expression that happens through technology is very, very exciting," Lee Pace added.
