DC Comics fans were thrilled when they found out that there will be a movie about "Aquaman" and Jason Momoa will star as the underwater superhero.
He made the announcement last year at the Walker Stalker Con and expressed his excitement about the upcoming movie.
"It's cool be a part of DC's universe. I'm really excited to be with Warner Bros., and hopefully everyone likes it. And Zack Snyder's a genius, so I'm really excited to be hanging out with him," Momoa said as reported by ComicBook.com.
The "Games of Thrones" star tried not to spill out much information about the new DC movie but he did mention that they may start shooting for the "Aquaman" movie around 2016 or 2017 since the release date is still on 2018.
Jason Momoa was also asked if he will do a cameo in "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice." The movie stars Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck and will be released in 2016.
"I really wish I could say something, but I don't even know," the 35-year-old actor said.
"I found out some of the characters that are in Justice League that are casted that I didn't know. So you found out when I found out. And that stuff is pretty tight-lipped so I don't have anything to give."
Just recently, director Zack Synder teased his followers on Twitter when he posted a photo of Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
"There is only one true King. #unitetheseven," he captioned the image. What he wrote could mean as the seven seas or the seven superheroes of the Justice League according to The Verge.
The website also reported that the 48-year old director may introduce the rest of the superhero team in "Batman V. Superman" to compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Apart from Jason Momoa's Aquaman photo, Synder also posted an image of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman several months ago. Maybe we will see photos of Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg and more in future.
