The controversial engagement between "Love & Hip Hop New York" star Erica Mena and her fiancé rapper-actor Shad "Bow Wow" Moss has been taken into the next level.
The couple had an engagement photo shoot and decided to share it with People.
"CSI: Cyber" star Shad "Bow Wow" Moss granted an interview with the entertainment publication where he shared the story of his relationship with the "Love & Hip Hop New York" cast less the drama over Cyn Santana (Mena's ex-partner).
"I've known Erica for a long, long time," Moss who proposed to Mena last September told the publication.
The couple reportedly worked together in various projects and shows that include a reunion in "106 and Park" last February, where the two shared an on-camera kiss that said sparked the romance.
When asked why he decided to pop the question early in the relationship with "Love & Hip Hop New York" star Erica Mena, Bow Wow claimed that he's tired of his player life and felt like this is the right time to settle.
"We noticed we had a lot in common and just took it day by day. You know how it goes, you text one day, then start texting every day," Moss explained of his relationship with Mena. "She's very smart, silly, knows how to hustle. And she's electrifying. Anytime you have all of that in a woman, what more could you want?"
"The player life is cool, but I don't want it to define me," Bow Wow, who proposed to his fiancée with an Elliot Avianne 20-carat solitaire diamond ring, explained. "I've done it all, but being on the road, the groupies, you get burnt out."
Moss added that his 3-year-old daughter, Shai from a previous relationship, inspired him to become a better person.
"I wanted to be a better man than my father was," Moss said. "This relationship has definitely changed me as a person."
"Love & Hip Hop New York" cast Erica Mena on the other hand, has a son named King.
While Bow Wow can't stop gushing about his fiancée he admitted that he let her take over the engagement photos that were recently released through People.
"I let her spearhead the engagement pictures," Moss said of their desert shoot in Apple Valley, California, on Feb. 6. "They say it's best to just say 'yea' to everything!"
Meanwhile, Cyn Santana, Erica Mena's ex-girlfriend and co-star to VH1's hit reality show "Love & Hip Hop New York," reportedly suspects that Bow Wow may have came into the picture when Mena was still with her.
"I don't know where her now fiancé came in the picture. I wish I knew," she said in an interview with VH1. "From my understanding they were always friends. That was a bit of a shock to me as well because this is someone you told me not to worry about and now you're engaged to him."
