'Avengers' Cast Jeremy Renner To Appear In 'Captain America 3' With Robert Downey Jr. And Scarlett Johansson? Hawkeye Coming To Steve Rogers' Universe?

Did "Avengers" cast Jeremy Renner confirm his involvement in the upcoming "Captain America 3" movie with Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson.

After denying the possibility of a Hawkeye standalone film upon talking to MTV correspondent, the "Kill the Messenger" star might have accidentally hinted that his coming to Steve Rogers' universe.

"I'm happy to be the ensemble. I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means," Renner explained.

Adding, "I think he's a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universes a little bit, especially like 'Cap 3.'"

To further solidify the rumors he mentioned the movie again in an interview with Collider.

"There are rumblings of 'Captain America 3.' I don't know what's going to happen there. I've got to find the time, man (laughs). I'm trying to stay home and I can't," he answered when asked about how he finds time in his busy schedule.

Joe Russo on the other hand, tried to play coy about "Avengers" star Jeremy Renner's possible casting in his movie upon talking to Crave Online.

"We can't. That's part of our cone of silence. My head would explode. You saw Scanners, right?" Joe Russo answered when asked to clarify the rumors involving Renner and "Captain America 3."

"Yeah, that's loosely based on Marvel's policy. Their security team is now... My head will blow up. I can't tell you," he reiterated.

Jeremy Renner, 44, is currently filming "Mission Impossible 5" with Tom Cruise, he has also confirmed that he'll reprise his role as Aaron Cross and work with Matt Damon in the "Bourne" franchise.

Recent reports also suggest that he'll probably be returning in the sequel of "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters."
