Johnny Depp and Amber Heard finally tied the knot and fans can't wait to hear more details about their wedding. The 51-year old Hollywood star and the 28-year old actress got married on a private island that was owned by the actor.
According to Vanity Fair, Depp fell in love with the 45-acre island in the Bahamas while filming "Pirates of the Caribbean" and bought it for $3.6 million in 2004.
"I don't think I'd ever seen any place so pure and beautiful," the actor referred to the island. He named some of the beaches after his children Jack and Lily-Rose. "You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It's instant freedom. And that rare beast-simplicity-can be had. And a little morsel of anonymity," Depp added.
No wonder he chose to do a second wedding ceremony on his private island because it means so much to him. Mail Online reported that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard got married on Feb. 3 at the actor's home in Los Angeles. Based on reports, "The Lone Ranger" star wanted to renew their vows with the presence of their family and close friends. "They wanted to do it all again on the beach and... (celebrate) with friends because they love the island and want it to be a continuing part of their lives together," an insider told Sunday Express.
Since the released aerial photos are not that clear, it is hard to distinguish who the guests are but spotted beside the actor was his 12-year old son from former partner Vanessa Paradis. "Johnny's private island is a tropical paradise. Wedding guests were treated to an amazing weekend that ended with a romantic beach ceremony," an insider revealed to People.
Thankfully, it didn't rain during their wedding and the place looked serene. "The weather was perfect and the beach setting was gorgeous," their source said. "The ceremony was beach casual and intimate, yet very romantic." This is indeed the kind of wedding that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard would remember.
