Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are officially divorced, ending their five year marriage, according to reports. Holmes is gearing up for her first ever fashion show at this years New York Fashion Week show.
A New York judge signed off on the final judgment on Monday after a New York judge signed off on the final judgment, People magazine reported.
Holmes and Cruise said in July they had reached an agreement less than two weeks into their headline-dominating divorce case. Their lawyers and representatives wouldn't disclose details. The couple were married in Italy in 2006.
Cruise, 50, and Holmes, 33, are said to remain on amicable terms, continuing to communicate for the sake of daughter Suri, 6. Their daughter will continue to live in New York with Holmes and Cruise will get visitation rights to see and travel with Suri.
"Tom is very happy and relieved that he is moving forward," says the source, according to E! News. "His priority is being a good father and this settlement will make sure that continues."
Meanwhile, Holmes's is making her first-ever New York Fashion Week show. The budding designer will reportedly show her Holmes & Yang clothing collection at "the tents," Fashion Week's premiere venue at the tony Lincoln Center.
"This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of media scrutiny," a source tells the New York Post. "They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business.
