'Arrow' Season 3 Episode Guide: The Atom Is Much More Like Laurel Lance, Another Big Episode Slated For Ray Palmer

| By

Latest "Arrow" season 3 episode guide/clip focused more on Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh). This is because in the next episode titled "Nanda Parbat" the billionaire bachelor will finally suit up as The Atom.

Palmer has been around since the start of the current season and this will only be the first time that he will use the suit he's been working on with Felicity.

While the debut of The Atom is much anticipated, executive producer Marc Guggenheim warns fans should not ask too much for him. Don't expect him to be as good as Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) or Roy Harper (Colton Haynes). In fact, he is more like Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy), the new Canary.

"He's definitely a sloppy superhero in the sense of all of our characters don't immediately have the easiest time fighting crime," EP Guggenheim said in an interview with the Entertainment Weekly.

Guggenheim also shared an "Arrow" season 3 episode guide for another The Atom-centric episode.

"I would say episode 19 really digs underneath what does it mean for Ray to be a hero. Is he a hero because of who he is? Or is he a hero because of the suit that he's made?"

Another indication that Ray Palmer still needs improvement for his superhero gig is his appearance in "The Flash." Reports say Palmer and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) will be traveling to Central City to ask help from Barry Allen and his friends from STAR Labs for Palmer's suit. The episode is titled "All-Star Team Up."

"Malcolm (John Barrowman) is captured by Ra's al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) and taken to Nanda Parbat. Because of his love for Thea (Willa Holland), Oliver considers saving Merlyn. Ray is obsessed with finishing his Atom suit so he can save the city but Felicity fears he is heading down the same path as Oliver and tries to pull him out of the lab."
