LG G4 Release Date In April Confirmed By A Company Executive? Check Out What We Know So Far About The Upcoming Flagship

| By

New flagships from different phone manufacturers are expected to be showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but the LG G3's successor that has been causing too much hype won't be included in the list.

Instead, it will be released a month after the said event as per rumors.

"LG Electronics decided not to release the G4 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) exhibition in Barcelona in March," a source told KoreaTimes.com.

"It may release it in April."

The source also added that LG G4 might not own the spotlight at the MWC 2014 since its expected tough rival Samsung Galaxy S6 will also make its first appearance.

"Samsung usually releases its new flagship model in the first quarter of each year and Apple in the second quarter. We need some in-between time to make a bigger splash," the source claims.

Meanwhile, another report from a Korean website Chosun claims an LG excutive was overheard saying that the LG G4 won't appear at MWC 2015.

"We rolled out the G3 in May last year so we do not plan to unveil the G4 at this year's Mobile World Congress and [will] spend more time perfecting the new phone," Chosun reports.

Though the Korean phone manufacturer did not disclose any details about the upcoming flagship, leaked details suggest that the LG G4 will sport a 3K resolution, MyLGphones.com reports.

It also dished out that the upcoming flagship will be first available on South Korea's three major mobile carriers.

Phone Arena claims that LG phone with model number LG-H810 could be the LG G4 for AT&T as it was revealed in a leaked document.

It added, that the upcoming flagship will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor 1440 x 2560 screen resolution, 5312×2988 picture resolution and 3GB RAM. Camera wise, GSMArena speculates it will sport a 16Mp camera.
