The rising Chinese tech company Xiaomi stepped it a notch among the phone manufacturers in the world as it's the first to launch a mobile device that runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.
But can the Xiaomi Note Pro outperform its toughest contender the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge?

Design and Screen
The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro was directly compared with iPhone 6 during its launch last month, but it still carries a resemblance of the iPhone series and Xperia Z3.
It sports a 5.7-inch QHD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and pixel density of 515 ppi.
In comparison, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has an exceptional design as it is enclosed in an aluminum frame as the Korean phone manufacturer already dropped off its Faux leather back found on the Note 3 and other Samsung devices.
Its screen will be its selling point as it has an additional curved on screen display at the right edge that displays separate strip of screen notifications. It has a 5.6 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution up to 1600×2560 pixels and 524ppi
Hardware and OS
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro has a superior processor of 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Its four cores are clocked at 2.0GHz and the other four at 1.2GHz, and supported by a 4GB of RAM.
While the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.7GHz Krait 450 processor, and other models has a 64-bit capable octa-core Exynos. Its two processors variant are coupled with Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
In terms of their storage capacity, the Mi Note Pro has 64GB onboard storage and 32GB of internal memory for the Note Edge that can be expanded via a microSD card up to 128B.
Camera
Camera wise, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 sports a 16 MP rear camera and a 3.7 MP front shooter. It also offers a 120-degree angle shot that can be activated at the back of the handset. Its ISOCELL technology offers quality for low-light pictures, can shoot live HDR shot and boasts 4K recording ability.
