20th Century Fox is currently on the lookout for new talent to appear in "Deadpool," the anti-hero's first solo outing.
Recently, we reported that MMA fighter Gina Carano will join the cast as character Angel Dust as well as "X Men's" Colossus. Daniel Cudmore, the actor who has played Piotr Rasputin aka Colossus in the past three "X Men" films, has confirmed that he won't be playing the russian bruiser in the upcoming movie. The actor revealed the news on his Twitter account.
Thanks everyone for all the support for me 2 reprise the role of #Colossus in #Deadpool but unfortunately it won't be happening for me con't

However, the studio's decision of not having the actor to comeback wasn't an issue for Cudmore and is even excited for the upcoming release.
I've had a blast playing such an awesome character over the years! #Deadpool will be kick-ass with #TimMiller and @VancityReynolds #BestFans — daniel cudmore (@danielcudmore) February 17, 2015
Wade Wilson aka "Deadpool" debuted on the big screen starring as the antagonist in 2009's "X Men Origins: Wolverine." Fox's plan was to commission his own solo movie right after, but with "Wolverine" getting poor reception with audiences and "Deadpool's" script getting leaked onto the internet, the plans were scrapped and the project was shelved.
Meanwhile, Fox just recently greenlit the title and all seems to be moving forward. Ryan Reynolds still holds the role of "the merc with the mouth" with special effects artist Tim Miller attached to the directors chair.
Miller will debut as a director in the upcoming movie, he is better known in the visual effect industry as the founder of special effects company Blur Studio.
