Kelly Ripa co-host on "Live! With Kelly" will be revealed on the show on Sept. 4, the show's producers announced Monday.

The day before the big revelation, Ripa will start the season the day before by hosting solo for the first time. Her and her new co-host's guests on September 4 will be "Homeland" actress Claire Danes and "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips.
Philbin, who created the show, exited at age 80 after presiding more than 28 years alongside several co-hosts.
Ripa became his on-air partner in 2001.
