Days ago, Sony announced that they have agreed to let one of the biggest titles cross over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe to star in a Marvel produced film and appear in certain other character's movies. His first movie under a new banner arrives on Jul. 28, 2017.

But Sony isn't fuly turning over their beloved chacracter over to the MCU as they retain final creative control and distribution rights over the franchise. Sony Pictures just wanted a movie that will make "a new creative direction for the web slinger."

For years, fans have been wanting to see Spidey sharing the screen with such characters as "Avengers" and "Captain America," making the films faithful to the story in the comic books; Spider man played a pivotal role in the Civil War storyline.

But it is unlikely that he will be appearing in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" which releases this year on May 1, he is however rumored to make an appearance in "Captain America: Civil War."

"Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled to start shooting in april and will release in theaters on May 6, 2016 - this will give production enough time to fit Spidey into Cap's upcoming movie.

Spider Man's entry into MCU also calls for Marvel to make a few changes in their lineup of previously announced titles that spans the next five years.

The character most affected by these changes is Thor, who had originally been given the Jul.28, 2017 spot, his third movie "Thor: Ragnarok" is now moved to a Nov. 3, 2017 release.

A few more have been bumped off their original release dates: "Black Panther" which stars Chadwick Boseman playing the title role will now release on Jul.6 2018, "Captain Marvel" on Nov. 2, 2018 and finally "Inhumans" on Jul. 12, 2019.

No actors have been mentioned yet to star as "Spider Man" in his upcoming Marvel produced film.
