"Vikings" Season 3 premiere is getting nearer. The History Channel original TV series will return on February 19. Aside from more territories to be explored by Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) and his crew, another thing fans need to be prepared of is the arrival of new characters. Mind you, these characters aren't just one and done type. One of those that can either make or break the primary characters is Kevin Durand's the Wanderer.
There's not much detail about the character of Durand who is also a regular in the FX TV series "The Strain." Now, as the "Vikings" season 3 premiere episode about to air, here's one scoop that will you make you feel more excited about The Wanderer. According to a spoiler from TV Line, the Wanderer is someone who will bring blood to the town of brave Norsemen conquerors.
"Before he ever sets foot in Kattegat, the Strain star's mysterious Wanderer will have piqued the interests of Siggy, Helga and Queen Aslaug, since he appeared to each of them in dreams, arriving in town with his arms outstretched and one hand dripping scalding blood. So you can imagine the reaction when this happens in Episode 2."
In an interview with Monsters and Critics, a few day ago, Durand, who also had iconic roles in ABC's "Lost" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", said he, too, is not yet sure what his character in "Vikings" Season 3 is like.
"You know it's exactly the way that each show has been pushing it. It's mysterious. I mean even for me -- I'm not even 100 percent sure," Durand said. "You know what I mean? I have a very, very good idea but it will be interesting to see what you think as the episodes move along and I'm really interested in seeing what people think."
It is not clear yet whether Durand will appear in "Vikings" Season premiere episode. Other major additions in the show are Canadian actor Lothaire Bluteau who will portray Emperor Charles of France and French actress Morgane Polanski as Princess Gisla, Bluteau's daughter and advisor.
