Microsoft confirms its participation at the Mobile World Congress 2015 through sending out its invites.
The Redmond's giant press conference will be on March 2 at 8:30 a.m. CET as listed on the invitation, CNET reports.
Speculations now arise that Microsoft will introduce two flagships on its first appearance at MWC 2015 as a phone manufacturer, after it took over the Lumia line up from Nokia. It is now rumored that these two flagships will be the Lumia 1330/1335 and Lumia 940.
Rumors have been circulating over the internet that the Microsoft Lumia 1330/1335 will be unveiled at the said event. The alleged Lumia 1330 has been spotted at FCC listing with the model number RM-1062 alongside with a single-SIM LTE variant, which believed to be the Lumia 1335. Live photos have surfaced from Baidu.com.
Meanwhile, the most anticipated camera focused phone Lumia 940 spec sheet leaked too and Phone Arena was able to obtain a copy. It was revealed that it will be the first smartphone to run on Windows 10 mobile operating system.
According to the leaked details, the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 940 will feature a 5.0-inch screen with a full HD (1920 x 1080) display resolution. One of the first smartphones to sport a Gorilla Corning Glass 4 protection like on the rumored Huawei Ascend P8. It's also a full millimeter thinner than the Lumia 930 which was announced back in April 2014. The Lumia 940 dimensions was also included in the spec sheet and measures 137 x 71 x 8.9 mm and weighs 149g.
Under the hood, the upcoming flagship will be powered by a Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core 2.7GHz processor couple with an Adreno 420 GPU. It may have three storage variants, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB supported by a 3GB of RAM without a microSD card support.
As a camera focused phone, it sports a high-end camera of 24-megapixel PureView with 60 fps video recording and a 5-Megapixel front camera.
