Recent "Arrow" TV series spoiler revealed that Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer will finally suit up as The Atom.
To whom the suit's power will be used, that is yet to be identified. That might not be the only thing that will happen on an Atom-centric episode. You might also see him clash with the show's protagonist Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). The reason behind? Felicity Smoak.
The Atom and Emerald Archer's computer genius Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) shared a kiss before. That is after she and Oliver decided they can't be together because of the nature of their job during the first "Arrow" season 3 episode. Oliver tried to win her back but he was too late. Now, after the arrow-toting vigilante returned from the dead, it seems the Olicity ship is gone again and it is time for Ray Palmer to enter the scene.
In an interview at the Dallas Comic Con Fans Day panel, Stephen Amell shared major "Arrow" season 3 spoiler regarding his character and future run-ins with Routh's Ray Palmer.
"As for the future, I think there was a lot of truth to the notion -- in fact, absolute truth -- that Oliver wants her to be happy," Amell said of Arrow's relationship with Felicity Smoak when asked by a fan to share some sort of spoiler.
"We go back and forth a lot over the next few episodes and then part of the problem is that Ray Palmer is The Atom, right? He's The Atom. And then we run into a scenario in the next couple of episodes where The Atom is not very happy with The Arrow, with Felicity right in the middle."
The Arrow and The Atom will reportedly first have an encounter on "Arrow" season 3 episode 15 titled "Nanda Parbat." The episode guide reads below:
"Malcolm (John Barrowman) is captured by Ra's al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) and taken to Nanda Parbat. Because of his love for Thea (Willa Holland), Oliver considers saving Merlyn. Ray is obsessed with finishing his Atom suit so he can save the city but Felicity fears he is heading down the same path as Oliver and tries to pull him out of the lab."
