After overcoming Dr. Crane in the last episode, Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the whole GCPD will battle another mysterious villain. In an exclusive spoiler regarding the Fox TV series from the Hollywood Reporter, it is revealed that the Ogre will be arriving in the show and will be played by an actor who is no stranger to superhero series.
"It might not have Batman just yet, but Gotham is about to find itself home to a former hero - or, at least, a former member of the Heroes cast.
Milo Ventimiglia has booked a recurring role on the Fox freshman drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned," the website wrote.
The Hollywood Reporter added that Ventimiglia's role in Gotham TV series is recurring.
"Ventimiglia will recur and play a character new to the Batman cannon known as 'the Ogre.'"
In the comics, Ogre's alter-ego is Michael Adams and is a genetically altered man who was turned into an ape by Doctor Winston Belmont under the a program called "Project Mirakle." The Ogre first appeared in the Batman #535 in October 1996. The Ogre in "Gotham" is said to be unrelated to his comics counterpart.
In "Gotham" TV series, the Ogre will see a blatant alteration. The alter-ego of the Batman villain is Jason Lennon, a "handsome, wealthy and seductive" man who hides a dark secret. He is a serial killer whose targets are young women in Gotham City as he searches for a perfect partner.
