Joining Paramount's new reboot of "The Rings" is another "Friday The 13th" installment, coincidentally the 13th film of the long running series. The movie is reported to be under Paramount and Platinum Dunes.
While these two classics were originally set to scare on the big screen this year, things have been rather slow with Jason Vorhees' latest film.
Platinum Dunes producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller gave the latest on the hockey-masked killer with Collider, revealing that they're still working on the movie's script.
"Just working on the script still. Hoping to make that movie this year and Brad, I'm gonna confirm that Jason is in the movie."
Director David Bruckner has been reported helming the project. No stranger to the horror genre, having made films such as "The Signal" and the "V/H/S" series, Fuller and Form are confident with Brucker adding "We have a great director."
The two producers are also working on a follow-up to last year's massively successful "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot which is due out in summer of 2016. Will they have enough time to fit in the "Friday The 13th" reboot?
Paramount has announced a few changes in their schedule of releases - Ring reboot "Rings" will now premiere on November, "Friday the 13th" - originally set as the "Friday The 13th" movie's release date.
"Rings" will be directed by Spanish director F. Javier Gutierrez and will star Italian newcomer Matilda Lutz.
According to Deadline, this is the third time the film has been delayed, originally set for March 13 to Nov. 13, it will now release in 2016 on May 13.
The last "Friday The 13th" movie came out in 2009, was directed by Marcus Dispel and starred Jared Padalecki and Amanda Righetti. The plot included the origins of the antagonist Jason Vorhees. At the time of its opening, "Friday The 13th" grossed $19,293,446 at the box office, exceeding the individual grosses of previous installments "Jason Takes Manhattan" (1989), "Jason Goes To Hell" (1993) and "Jason X" (2002).
