News about Bruce Jenner's transgender tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer was reportedly slammed by his home network. The Olympian's revelation with the veteran ABC news anchor will reportedly conflict with his upcoming solo reality show, which will air on E!
According to a report from Hollywood Life, the 65-year-old reality star wants to do his big reveal in a one-on-one interview with the acclaimed TV journalist. Slated for May 2015, news about the Diane Sawyer tell-all has reportedly upset the execs from Bruce Jenner's home station, E! Network.
E! is reportedly already set on documenting Bruce Jenner's transgender journey in a docuseries to be entitled "Trans-Jenner".
"Another name they are also throwing around is 'Bruce Jenner - My Journey'," a source told Hollywood Life.
"They don't want to fully scare off potential viewers with a very risky title for a very risky life change," the insider explained.
E! Network, which is owned by ABC's rival, NBC Universal, airs "Keeping Up With The Kardashians", the show which turned the entire Kardashian - Jenner family into superstars. According to another report from Hollywood Life, members of the popular reality TV family all support Bruce Jenner's transgender plans.
Long-running Bruce Jenner transgender allegations were fuelled after he divorced the notorious Kardashian-Jenner momager, Kris Jenner. Although they have separated, members of the famous celebrity family have been showing support for Bruce Jenner amid allegations that he is turning into a woman.
Bruce Jenner's youngest daughter, Kylie Jenner, even took to Instagram to share that she and their whole reality TV family still fully support the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" patriarch.
A photo uploaded on the 17-year-old reality star's Instagram page showed her and her sisters - Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner - in an affectionate moment with their father. The image was captioned, "Family first."
"They just wanted him to know that despite everything he's going through in the media and in his own personal life, they wanted to reassure him that they love him and encourage him to do whatever it is he wants," an insider explained to Hollywood Life.
