The last "How to Get Away with Murder" episode introduced who could be the main nemesis of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis).
Hannah Keating (Marcia Gay Harden), the protagonist's sister-in-law, is in town looking for his brother. As you know by now, Sam Keating (Tom Verica), who is also suspected of killing high school student Lila, is already six feet under after getting killed by Annalise's student assistants. The law practitioner and professor even had a part in hiding the corpse.
In previous interviews, series creator Peter Nowalk described Hannah as the main antagonist for Annalise and "a thorn in our characters' side in a way that will be surprising."
Both women are smart and powerful and fans can't help but feel excited for the showdown. It is not just fans aching to see the word war between the two characters, even the cast members.
Matt McGorry, who plays Asher Millstone, is eager to see the showdown, too, and he even came up with an odd analogy about the two's much anticipated battle.
"She's (Harden) such a wonderful actress... not a lot of people can necessarily go toe-to-toe with Viola and I think it's pretty cool to see that. It sort of reminds me of like when I have Godzilla and King Kong fight," Matt McGorry told reporters on the set of "How to Get Away with Murder" based on an interview by Access Hollywood.
Davis was there and she jokingly said "I wanna know which one was Godzilla."
According to Davis, people will see more of Hannah before the first season of "How to Get Away with Murder" wraps up. She adds that the presence of Sam's sister could also be the key for the audience to know why Annalise seems what she is.
"You're gonna see Annalise's past. You're gonna see the dots start connecting [them] in terms of how [she] and Sam met, what my connection was with his family. So you're gonna see all of that and you're gonna start filling in the blanks in seeing why Annalise is the way she is," Viola said.
"You'll kind of... get on that road, that track, and also, it [raises] the stakes of the murder mystery because she's Sam's sister."
"How to Get Away with Murder" episode 11 titled "Best Christmas Ever" will air on Feb. 5.
